George Harrison, What is Life, Live in Baton Rouge, 11/26/74.

What is Life documents a true low point in Harrison's career. With his voice completely shot, George hit the road in 1974 performing mutilated versions of his Beatles classics and uninspired versions of his solo hits. It's hard to understand why he revised the lyrics for Something and While My Guitar Gently Weeps, which now became While My Guitar Gently Smiles. The worst of the bunch is his awful rendention of In My Life, which now featured the lyric, "In my life, I love God more." All of the songs feature overblown horn arrangments and George's hoarse voice adding an added element of despair. The jazzed up version of My Sweet Lord the closes the show is truly disgusting.

Fortunately this disc does not feature the opening performance by Ravi Shankar's band, which George would sometimes accompany with his acoustic guitar. Apparently the crowd didn't enjoy the opening act much and would heckle the Indian musicians, prompting George to admonish the audience for not appreciating worldly music. It's a sorry state of affairs when Billy Preston's two numbers are the most inspired on the discs.

To top it all off, this particular audience recording is of fairly low quality, making this bootleg of interest to hard core fans only.
