Yellow Dog's Ultimate Collection was released around the same time as the Artifacts box sets. It tries to provide a more complete look at some rarities, by including the complete Decca sessions, all of the Ed Sullivan show appearances and the first few recorded hours of the Get Back sessions. However, for the beginner, the Artifacts sets give a nicer selection of various rarities and provide a lot more studio outtakes. With that being said, the material here is generally in excellent quality and certainly of interest to collectors.
