Glyn Johns produced several versions of the Get Back album, and this was his final try. It again was rejected by the Beatles, perhaps because he chose to use so many shitty versions of songs. I could never understand why he didn't just use the rooftop versions of tracks 5 and 6. The takes selected here and the versions of 'Don't Let Me Down' and 'Two Of Us' are particularly flat and uninspired. At any rate, this CD is probably the highest quality version of Get Back you'll find and includes two additional songs not only earlier mixes ('Across the Universe' and 'I Me Mine.'). 'Teddy Boy' was eliminated from Johns' final mix, but Vigotone offers two versions as bonus tracks.
