1960s Global SG copy

My wife found this guitar at a yard sale for $20. It was completely covered in a nasty film of black dirt that took a long time to get off. Apparently the dirt had done its part to preserve the finish because it cleaned up quite nicely. The guitar itself was in disrepair, however. The nut was cracked, the neck had a strange twist and  the electronics were completely disconnected. After my guitar repair guy went over it, it actually plays fairly well! I applaud Global's accuracy in copying the original Gibson SG and I love the imitation 'Gibson' script on the headstock. For a 60s beginner guitar, this thing is fairly well made and solid.

Unfortunately the Bigsby is missing the arm, but I doubt you'd want to attempt using it. It barely stays in tune as it is. The guitar has really cheap pickups, which are actually single coils, designed to look like humbuckers. The are extremely microphonic, like most cheap pickups from the 60s are. It has a pretty cool sound and it's neat guitar to just mess about with.
