10 Reasons To Believe Christ Rose From The Dead *

A Public Execution Assured His Death
A High Official Secured The Gravesite
In Spite Of Guards, The Grave Was Found Empty
Many People Claimed To Have Seen Him Alive
    His Apostles Were Dramatically Changed
Witnesses Were Willing To Die For Their Claims
Jewish Believers Changed Their Day Of Worship
Although It Was Unexpected, It Was Clearly Predicted
It Was A Fitting Climax To A Miraculous Life
It Fits The Experience Of Those Who Trust Him
    You're Not Alone

Simon Greenleaf, one of the founders of the Harvard Law School, originally set out to disprove the biblical testimony concerning the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He was certain that a careful examination of the internal witness of the Gospels would dispel all the myths at the heart of Christianity. But this legal scholar came to the conclusion that the witnesses were reliable, and that the resurrection did in fact happen. What Do You Say?
The question you must answer is a simple one.

It's not, "What do you think of a certain religion?"
It's not, "What do you think of Christians?"
It's not, "What good works have you done lately?"

The Question that stands between every human and God is this: "What are you going to do with Jesus?"

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6). Paul and Silas said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved" (Acts 4:12). And Paul said that "God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself" (2 Corinthians 5:19).

The message is clear: Faith in Jesus is the only way to God. So what are you going to do with Him? Will you allow a philosopher's deceiving words to make you mistrust the Savior? Will you let the musings of mere humans carry more weight than the message of Almighty God? Please don't. Take Jesus at His word. Put your faith in Him and believe that He gave His life as the sacrifice for your sins on the cross of Calvary. You'll find the joy that comes from being set free from the penalty and power of sin.

What will you do with Jesus? That' the most important question you will ever answer.

Who Is Jesus? *

He must increase, but I must decrease. John 3:30

In order to maintain friendship and loyalty to Christ, be much more careful of your moral and vital relationship to Him than any other thing, even obedience. Sometimes there is nothing to obey, the only thing to do is to maintain your vital connection with Jesus Christ, to see that nothing interferes with your relationship to Him. Only at occasional times do we have to obey; when a crisis arises we have to find out what God's will is, but the greater part of our life is not conscious obedience, but this maintained relationship. To have our eyes on successful service is one of the greatest snares to a Christian worker, for it has in it the peril of evading the soul's concentration on Jesus Christ, and instead of being friends of the Bridegroom we become antichrists in our domain, working against Him while we use His weapons; amateur providences with the jargon of Divine providence, and when the Bridegroom does speak we shall not hear His voice. Decreasing to the absolute effacing of the worker, till he or she is never thought of again, is the true result of devotion, and John says, That is my joy. Watch until you hear the Bridegroom's voice in the life of a soul, never mind what havoc, what upset it brings, what crumblings of health. Rejoice with divine hilarity over that soul because the Bridegroom's voice has been heard.

Chambers, Oswald, The Place of Help, (United Kingdom: Marshall Morgan & Scott) c1935.

“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”    ~ Revelation 4:11

The Shroud of Turin *

The Shroud of Turin. 8 min. video

A historical background on the Shroud of Turin, believed to be the burial cloth of Jesus. "The Shroud is a challenge to our intelligence... The Church urges that the Shroud be studied without pre-established positions, that take for granted results that are not such... For the believer, what counts above all, is that the Shroud is a mirror of the Gospel... The image of human suffering is reflected in the Shroud... The Shroud is also an image of God's love as well as of human sin... (of) the powerlessness of death.. of silence....The Shroud shows Jesus at the moment of his greatest helplessness, and reminds us that in the abasement of death lies the salvation of the whole world"  This video is from the official website of the Philippine exhibit which started last July 2007.

St Therese, pray for us. Our beloved St Therese, and God's beloved little flower. Pope St Pius has called you the greatest modern Saint, for you have touched us all with your humility and devotion. Amen.
