Craftworld Drudan was in the galactic south at the time of the Fall. The elder council of Drudan took a similar stance to that of Lugganath, deciding that the Eldar civilization had to be refounded elsewhere. But rather than Lugganath's vision of an Eldar empire within the webway, Craftworld Drudan decided to embark on a journey to search for another galaxy altogether in which to settle. Drudan put its trust in the potent skills of its above average number of farseers to guide it to their new home safely.

Apparently, something happened to ruin their plans, because in M37, the craftworld reappeared in the galactic southeast. The Eldar of Drudan were suprised to find the galaxy in the shattered state that it is in, and the omnipresence of the inferior species of the Orks and Mon-Keigh. Even more suprising was the discovery that an entirely new race had sprung up in their absence, the Tau.

Craftworld Drudan's long odyssey through the empty void of deep space changed them in many ways. Craftworld Drudan has no Rangers in the traditional sense, as there was no real place for the Outcast Kindred to retreat to. Craftworld Drudan also has much more tenuous relations with the Exodite communities than most eldar, as the Exodites regard Drudan's failed attempt at leaving the galaxy as a cowardly shirking of their duties towards the Maiden Worlds. After their trip to the outer reaches of observable space, even their craftworld rune came back altered. An eldar craftworld changing its rune is rare, but not unheard of (For instance, Iyaden after Ichar IV). Craftworld Drudan's rune appears to symbolically depict their exit and return to the galaxy.
