Before you say good-bye please remember me
For I have tried the very best that I could try
All of my intentions were good, and honest
You may not have seen it, but my respect for you was extreme
I cherished every experience, with a happy heart
I tolerated your faults, looking beyond them
But now that you say good-bye, you will lose the things you had with me
The opportunity for an inspirational companionship
I only wish that you knew all of the effort that this has taken me
Then you could see the depth of my commitment to you
Please reflect before you tell me those words

Sometimes as the world spins 'round
I feel like such a lonely clown
Whose smile seems always upside down
When he should be so happy
I cannot seem to find my way

Please tell me what is happening
You stare dead straight into my eyes
I feel like I could fall over and die

I get so happy deep inside
In fact so happy that I could cry
With you to wipe my teary eye
I think I must be dreaming
You are so very bitter sweet
You help me get back to my feet
When all my hope had got me beat
How can I ever thank you?

And now this happiness is here to stay

Life seems now so full of fun
