No, Really, One Blade Will be Fine

How many blades do you shave with? I shave with one. It's really not that hard. You see, the problem with having more than one blade is that there's only really one blade doing any work. the blades in front of the Master Blade do nothing but cut the hair to a shorter length. I have prepared this diagram to describe why using more then one blade is superfluous:
As if that weren't enough, Shick joins the Melee with a FOUR-blade "Quattro". I especially love the commercial in this one:

"What's up with all these  razors with 3 blades?"

"I mean they couldn't make one with four, right?"

"WRONG! Introducing the Shick Quattro" [shows "features"]		 What Shick hopes I'm thinking:

"Yeah, you tell him, man!"

"No way, that would be teh crazy!!111"


"OMG! He was against it like I was and yet he likes it!! Therefore I will like it too!!!111"
What I'm really thinking:


"Let me watch The Simpsons in peace"

[sarcastic] "Oh, boy, I wonder where this is going"

"Oh man, this is so bad I'm going to have to write an article about it to vent my rage."
What is the point of multiple blades? Do loggers cut the top of a tree, before cutting it from the bottom? All right, maybe... bad example... but that's because trees branch out and they don't want the leaves to get in the way.

Let me ask another question: when you go to pay $3 for a drink (yeah that's all I could think of, it's just about the last thing I've done :/ ), do you dive into your pocket and take out one dollar at a time, or do you go and take out all the coins at once? If you said the former, then you are doing the same as multiple-bade razor; redundantly doing the same thing over and over again when you can end it all in one foul swoop.

Update: This guy knows what he's talking about.

Right now you're paying for a 3 or 4 blade razor. What's next, a knife with four blades? How about a portable system with two screens? They could call it the Nintendo DS and sell it alongside an existing product that was made by same company that has almost the exact same purpose, so people can carry around two objects that do the same damn thing.
