Get Firefox.
Created: Sept 8th, 2004
I'm usually pretty lazy when it comes to software. I buy a regular computer with all the MS software packed in, integrated into the price. You'd think that since Internet Explorer is not at all free, then logically, any internet browser that is free wouldn't be as good. And for years I have needlessly used Microsoft's weaksauce product, which lets spyware flow like wine.

Anyway, I finally have Firefox and I should have been the last to know, but I'm not. There's still tons of people using Explorer and I will not rest until, er, one person downloads
Firefox because of this site.

Firefox is like Internet Explorer, except it has a few bugs. For example, it doesn't let spyware through, it's easily configurable, and it has built in download manager. Once Mozilla has addressed these issues, their browser will be one step closer to being Internet Explorer.

(Note that I'm sure there are other browsers as good Firefox, but Firefox is the one I downloaded, so it's the one I'm going to rave about)

If you don't know what spyware is, it's essentially junk that finds it's way from Internet pages into your computer and does all sorts of nasty things such as record all the information you type, and send you popups every time you visit a site (whether or not it has anything to do with the spyware site)

So Firefox minimzes spyware, but more importantly, it has an add-on in which you can
nuke anything you don't feel like seeing. It has no practical purpose, but there's something about deleting random pictures that's fun.

Update: I just noticed that "Best Page in the Universe" also has a link to Firefox. Hopefully that will make it spread nicely :)
