After spending several summers in Central America, he became obsessed with Aztec and Mayan culture and soon developed an Aztec persona in the Society.
He was asked to join House Eagle, a mercenary group headed by Kane and Elissa of Grey Niche. (They were still years from becoming Duke & Duchess) Now disbanded, Marictqxa still considers himself an Eagle and proudly flies the Eagle banner in Black Hands Camp.
Years later Marictqxa was asked to join House NOVA, (Nasty Old Viking Association,) another mercenary household residing in Meridies. Upon accepting, he found that Vikings made sturdy allies for lone Aztecs and swore to seek out such folk at every War. Marictqxa is now Chieftain of NOVA west, the most distant branch of the Household. He travels to Gulf War each year to spend time with this distant family.
Several years ago Marictqxa befriended another group of Vikings, House Varg, at Pennsic War. After a year or so he was asked to join the House, and did so after completing the required initiation rites. He attends Pennsic every year and camps within the Norseland/Varg camp.
Now in Utah, Marictqxa is one of the three founding members of the Black Hands. His mission is to bring all the Black Hands to Gulf War and Pennsic and unite all his mercenary brothers and sisters.
