Wade Napier's name is now etched forever in pool history. Wade ... feel free to print out this page and put it up on your fridge.
GATORS SWAMP BRUINS!
Florida romps to 1st National Title!
Lunch is on you, Wade!
Well, as always folks, it was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I have to go out of pocket at this point as there are still several folks who have yet to pay their entry fees. If you know any of these folks, please give them a "Moe Howard special" for me and tell 'em to get their money in ASAP:
Don Legare
Earlen Ritter
Gerilyn Ferguson
John Martin
Kevin Garvin
Kim Gleason
Loren Spears
Rick Butera

The good news? You didn't need to stay up to some un-Godly hour last night to find out who would win the National Championship. Heck, with a 9:21 tipoff, you probably could have gone to bed at 9:30 or so because that's about how long it took for Florida to get fully in the drivers seat last night.  The Gators got out in front early and never looked back emerging as National Champions in a 73-57 blowout win over the overmatched UCLA Bruins last night in Indianapolis. Lead by uber-Sophomore Joakim Noah, Florida beat UCLA like the Bruins were a security guard trying to stop Cynthia McKinney. Noah, son of former professional tennis player turned French reggae star Yannick Noah, garnered Most Outstanding Player honors by virtue of his 16 point, 9 rebound, 6 blocked shot night. The win makes Florida coach Billy Donovan only the third man in history to play in a Final Four and then go on to coach a team to a National Championship, joining a couple of guys named Bobby Knight and Dean Smith in that regard.

What all of this means for us is that Wade Napier, the only person to pick Florida in this year's pool, wins the jackpot and takes home $465 in the process.   Second place goes to Chris Reilly ($232.50), and third place to Ryan Morgan ($77.50)
The Final Standings shaped up as follows:
Ties family record for highest finish
Highest finish ever for the U10 category
Why DOES she always type in caps???
Takes the Crooked Tree crown this year
Doh! Should have used the "My Name is Earl" graphic here!
Good thing you didn't play Sharon's picks!
Boooo!
Hissssss!
Until next year ...
