| Steve Cutforth pulled out a dramatic last minute victory last evening to win the prize for best 1st round score. Lauren Dennehy had been nursing a 1 game lead over Steve late last night and seemed assured of victory until Butler pulled off the upset vs Mississippi State pulling them into a tie with 28 out of 32 games guessed correctly. We then went to the tiebreaker format of who called the biggest upset and there Steve pulled it out by virtue of his selection of Tulsa (13) vs Lauren's top upset of Auburn (10). By virtue of this Steve swoops in and snatches my baby girl's $25 and breaking her heart in the process. Hope your happy with yourself Steve. Second straight year thats happened to the Dennehy girls as my wife Lisa lost the same way last year to Sherri Eighmy. They'd be better off and just tanking in the first round every year like I do and just save yourself the heartache. But hey, life's tough ... wear a helmet. |
