Greenwood Great House was awarded the Musgrave medal for excellence in heritage preservation (one of the most prestigious award in Jamaica), the National Association of Returning Residents plaque and the Berger Paints heritage in architecture award. Greenwood Great House has recently been classified a national monument by the Government of Jamaica.
