Sammie, as he is known at home was purchased for Greenwood Arabians as a proven sire with a temperament second to none and a glowing show record.
Shown as a young colt when he first arrived in NZ, Sammie started winning In Hand. Supreme Champion Arabian, Champion Arabian or Reserve Champion Arabian were achieved at almost every outing. After being broken to saddle, Sammie contested a few dressage tests with success and also tried the sport of Endurance riding with a resting heartrate after a ride of 30bpm. Sammie also graced the showring under saddle winning Paced and Mannered classes, Ridden Stallion classes and going Top 5 Ridden Arabian at the Nationals.
Sambucca�s progeny in the showring have achieved Champions and Supremes throughout NZ and he has also sired a National Champion partbred and a Reserve National Champion Purebred plus many Top 5 progeny.
His oldest stock are just taking up the sport of endurance riding.
