Who can join? Anyone from age 12 who has the desire and ability to ride his mountain bike off road. How do I join the club? It's really simple; just subscribe to our mailing list through Yahoo Groups. You will then get details of all our activities E-Mailed to you on a regular basis. How much does it cost? It doesn't cost anything to join the mailing list. However, there is a small fee to join our rides. From time to time "Open Rides" are arranged where all are welcome to join at no charge. When do you ride? We normally ride on Friday Afternoons - starting at 14:00 in winter and 15:30 in summer. Occasionaly we will arrange a ride on a Saturday Morning or a two day trip on Friday and Saturday. Where do you ride? On Friday Afternoon's we try to have the rides that are no more than 1 to 1.5 hour drive from Tel Aviv or Haifa. This means that most of our rides are in the Carmel Area. On Saturdays we will travel further and ride longer! How big is your group? At the moment we have more than 250 people on the mailing list. We normally get 20 to 30 people joining us on our rides. What age are your members? Ages vary from early twenties to late fifties. Most people are mid twenties to mid thirties. How far do you ride? We normally ride for 25 to 30 kilometers. During winter the rides are shorter because it gets dark earlier. Will I be able to keep up? There is quite a range of abilities amongst us. We normally ride in two groups - Advanced and Beginners. However, most of our rides are not suitable for first time riders. Our beginners group requires that you can ride 20 lilometers in about 2 hours. |
