Ride Report |
The Green Wheelers Mountain Biking in Israel |
Ya'ar Ha Kiddushim Friday 28th November Today we decided to have a ride in the Jerusalem area because of numerous requests from Tel Avivians who wanted a ride closer to home. Unforunately people did not take advantage of this and only four of us turned up. The weather was perfect for riding - a little cool and dry - no rain yet!! |
We startted off by climbing passed the Benei Brit Caves and then along the sweet
smelling Nahal Kisalon!. Hopefully the sewage drain that burst will be reapired
quickly! |
After about twelve kilometers of climbing we reaped the reward of our efforts and
freewheeled downhill (on the black route) back to our cars at Eshtaol. A total
of 23 kilometers - 12 kilometers of climbing and the rest "surfing" downhill back
to the cars. |
We continued with the gentle climb along Nahal Kisalon and then turned left towards
Shoava (trail marked green). The climb was much steeper, but thankfully short! |
The route was challenging- yet not to difficult - a perfect "intermediate" level
ride. |
If anyone wants high resolution copies of the pictures, let me know which picture
and I will E Mail it to you. |
Next Saturday (6th December) we plan to have a ride in the Rosh Pina area. You MUST register for this ride by Wednesday 3rd December. Registration by E Mail to: [email protected] |
