A. Apply online at www.fema.gov/register.shtm
or by calling (800) 621-FEMA. You will be asked to provide your current
mailing address and phone number, Social Security number and what type of
homeowners insurance you have. If you apply online, be sure to print out a
copy of the final confirmation page for your records; if you apply be
telephone, write down the confirmation number that is given to you.

The toll-free telephone numbers are available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week until further notice.

Requests for Public Assistance
State governments, local governments, and Private Nonprofit (PNP) organizations that provide certain governmental services and are located in a Presidentially declared disaster area may apply to OES for Public Assistance funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and OES by completing the following Request for Public Assistance (RPA) form. This form is due to OES within 30 days of the federal disaster declaration for the designated area.
