I can say without a doubt in mind, that CATS is by far the best musical of all time. This is the musical that brought theatre to me. And it did it in full force.
The magical characters, costumes and above all the dancing is what makes the show so whimsical. It's what first interested me in dance and it's where I discovered my idol, John Partridge.
I LOVE CATS more than any other musical. Bombalurina is my favorite female and the Rum Tum Tugger is the best. Other characters.. Munkustrap, Demeter, Jemima, Mr. Mistoffolees, Rumpleteazer, Mungojerrie, Victoria, Cassandra... so many other to name.
::Plot::
    Many people will tell you that while CATS may be rich in dancing & effects, it's not very good when it come to the plot. Well, they're crazy.

The storyline is that every year, one Cat is chosen to go to the Heavyside Layer (Cat Heaven) so they can be reborn and live a new life. Of course, everyone wants to go. So each cat introduces him or herself to Dueterononmy, the head cat who desides who gets to go.
In the end, that cat chosen is the famous Grizabella. Who wins everyone over when she tells her story in the ever famous song "Memory".

I got the honor of seeing CATS when I was in eigth grade. I saw it in San Francisco with my friend Nena and it will remain the most magical night of my life. After wanting to see it since I was SEVEN years old!!!

CATS tours across the country year round despite the fact that it's been retired off Broadway *sniff*. If you don't get a chance to catch it live, you could always
buy it on VHS or DVD for a very cheap price.
With out a doubt, CATS gets five stars out of five. The casting, dancing, singing, the music and effect all add up to a great display. *sigh* What a magical show.
"When you notice a cat in profound meditation,
The reason I tell you is always the same.
His mind is engaged in a rapt contemplation
of the thought....
Of the thought... of his name."
