| GREENON ADVANCES ONE WRESTLER TO DISTRICT........... |
Greenon's wrestling team went 10-14 overall as they advanced one wrestler, Kevin Christensen, to the District Tournament next weekend and another wrestler, Casey Wells, who qualified as an alternate in next week's district tournament and will now wrestle in place of Northwestern's Jordan McClure, who had to drop out.
Kevin Christensen finished in 2nd place in the 125 lb weight class as he went 2-0 until he met defending state champion Cameron Doggett from Graham in the championship match that he lost by a 22-7 score.
Freshman Casey Wells had a couple of tough luck losses on his way to a 5-2 record for the Sectional tournament, as he just missed qualifying for the district meet with a 5th place finish; however, with Northwestern's Jordan McClure dropping out, Casey will now compete in the District Tournament.
Other wrestlers competing for Greenon were Dan Hurt in the 103 lb class (0-2), Mike Hart at 112 (1-2), Tim Kingrey at 140 (0-2), Ross Christopher at 171 (2-3), and Matt Wolf at 215 (0-2).
