Information:
The Ball is mainly used for maintenance work.
It's not sent into battle hardly at all, but it still is equipped
with a nice cannon to defend itself. The Ball is very easily
destroyed since it's not mainly used in combat. Around
1200 were used in Operation Star One. Its armor material
is not confirmed, but since so many were made and they are
easily destroyed, Titanium seems like a cheap and effective
way to go.
History:
The Ball is a desperation weapon. The EFF fielded
it to help compensate for there small numbers of GMs. It is a
refit of the SP-W03 civilian construction pods. The Ball stays
in the rear protecting EFF Salamis cruisers and Magellan
battleships.
Weapon Information:
The Ball is armed with a single 180mm
cannon. The reproduction model of the RB-79K Ball has a
pair of cannons. The cannons seem to be able to damage
Zeon mobile suits, but with little efficiency.
