This is just after Leo threw Rog out for being an unbearable schmo and mooching off his daughter.
(SLAM!!)
Leo-What a weasel! What a slimeball, what a snake, what a....
Greens-What a fox.
L-Huh?
G-You. You're so cute when you're angry.
L-Aren't you mad at your father? How that man could come here to sponge money off of you, how he could even look you in the eye is beyond me. When I think of.....
G-Don't worry about it. You sent him out of here with his tail between his legs. he won't be coming back looking for money anytime soon.
L-As much as I appreciate you turning over a new leaf, you're scaring me here. Aren't you going to break a law or some glassware?
G-Nope. Revenge isn't my game anymore......(Leo rolls his eyes) It's my business. It's a fine wine that has to be allowed to mature before it can be savored to the fullest. Daddy dearest taught me that.
L-I can see the wheels turning in your head. What are you planning?
G-Something wonderful. You'll just have to wait and see.
L-(German accent) Ve have vays of making you talk! (He smiles and grabs her head doing one of those tall kisses before cupping her face and pulling back and whispering) what's the plan?
G-(grinning) Not telling!
L-Aw come on! I can help.
G-I guess you can. Ok I'll tell, but it'll cost ya.
L-What's your price?
G-We'll discuss that later. Let's just say that it involves a cowboy hat and chocolate. Now......
Later~~~~~~~~
Roger-(blindfolded) I demand to know where you are taking me this instant! (gets pushed on stage)
Hayley-Hello everybody! This is a special edition of WAVE. Today's topic is rotten fathers. Welcome Greenlee Smythe! (applause) And her father Roger (boos). Now Greenlee, what has your father done?
G-Not much except insult and belittle me at every turn.
R-That's not true!
G-Oh ya? Well I have collected some tapes that may say otherwise.
(cue Tape #1-Home Video. Party at the Smythe house. Little Greenlee [age 4] comes downstairs in her pajamas with her stuffed bunny and tugs on her father's jacket. He says "go away Greenlee. You're not wanted here" boos)
G-For the record, that was my birthday. (massive boos)
(Tape #2-Valley Inn bar. A certain Roger Smythe is with his daughter at a table, telling her that she was a mistake and never wanted etc. Gasps from crowd)
(Tape #3-Valley Inn again. Last week. Roger pretends not to know Greenlee. Someone from the audience throws a tomato at Rog, who unfortunately ducks)
H-That's not all folks. Keep rolling that tape.
(They witness how Roger weasels his way out of it with Erica Kane, who at home is horrified by the bad publicity and picks up the phone)
H-Oh we have someone on the line. It's Erica Kane. She wants to talk to Roger.
E-You horrible man! I can't believe I was sucked in by you, but my kind and gentle heart betrayed me once again. I just thought you were another poor fool, hopelessly in love with my good lucks and unbridled charm.....
H-Ook that's enough Erica. Another caller? It's Woodruff Greenlee,
Woody-Roger, you are not getting one penny of my money in the divorce settlement! I am going to make sure that no one ever hires you and you are left out on the streets, penniless. Oh and hi Greenlee darling.
G-Hi granddaddy. May Leo and I come over for dinner tonight?
W-Of course dear. See you then. Bye!
H-Well there you have it. Until next time WAVE fans!
