This site has profiles on native and endangered animals in the state that I call home. Naturnet All about conservation and the environment in the UK. There are sections where you can donate, discuss issues, write in, read, learn and volunteer. Science Network WA Science, Science, Science- if you live in WA then visit this site for news, programs, events and everything about SCIENCE! The Nature Conservacy The Nature Conservancy's mission is to preserve the plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive. Donate to them, it's a worthwhile cause! WWF, the global conservation organization WWF is a global organization acting locally to halt the accelerating destruction of our natural world. Find out what they're doing and major environment problems worldwide. The environment, a global challenge This site is filled with interest groups. Joining an interest group is an easy way for citizens who are concerned about the environment to become involved in the political process. There are a wide range of interest groups to join, all focusing on different environmental issues. Environmental tips and how- tos This site is purely about the promotion of sustainable living, recycling, non-toxic products, pollution prevention and cleanup. There are many links that lead to tips that you should follow to help the environment. TXU - Environment - Conservation tips This TXU site is 'commited to enviromental excellence and community involvement'. The link above leads you to the section on conservation tips to reduce energy consumption. Global Stewards This page provides a wide variety of environmental tips, or eco tips. Topics include: reduce, reuse, and recycle; energy and water conservation; healthy and safe food supply; creating non-toxic homes and gardens; environmental practices at work; online news and magazines; nature and wildlife restoration and education; environmental gift ideas; and alternative transportation and fuel ideas.
