The white men arrived from a boat in the bay
And lived here among us for seventy days
We taught them our language, they gave us supplies
They showed us great kindness and we wondered why
The white men were rich and had families back home
But they chose to come here to us on their own
I told them I see all the great things you do
But now I’ve a question for you
Why are you here? Why do you care?
Who is it you speak to when no one is there?
Why would you travel from so far away?
It must be important what you have to say
We want to see who you could be
We want to hear as you tell us your story
The strangers who travel from over the sea
What is your answer to me?
The white men told stories of Jesus the Christ
He was God in the flesh sent to earth so to die
But sin died there with Him and he rose again
And after the stories the white men explained
God sent us here with a story to share
He cares for you and He’s always there
For we prayed to Him and He sent us this way
And this is the message He gave us to say
Give your life over to Jesus the Christ
For he loved you so much that He chose to die
Now He reigns in heaven for He rose again
And this is your chance to be up there with Him
The white men have gon but we’ll see them again
For one day we’ll all be together in heaven
Now I go and see all my neighbors and friends
When they see the change they will all ask me questions
