To my Father in heaven
From a child who loves you
This my prayer and petition
That I’ll always love you
If the morning has only begun
Or I watch as You’re setting the sun
Be it hot in the mid-afternoon
I will lift up this prayer to You
You are the reason
That my life is worth living
After all I have taken
You still keep on giving
Though I’ve lived a life full of sin
You let me know I’m forgiven
Through grace I start over again
With the Spirit a new life begins
And I lift up thanksgiving
For my friends and my family
But still more than anything
I praise you for saving me
I never could thank you enough
For all of the things you have done
What you did on a hill far away
Tis a gift I could never repay
And I pray for the Christians
To keep growing in wisdom
And those seeking to find you
To be won for the kingdom
As you care for me day by day
To you I give my life away
Cuz your will is all I can see
As I follow your plan for me
