Questions
1. How do you know the Hatgirl? I know the Hatgirl kindly. We've known each other for 3 years approximately, from when she was merely Fille de chapeau. I have sung with the Hatgirl, and even beaten her goat . . . drum that is. The Hatgirl has encouraged me a lot and I like to think I have encouraged her as well. I consider her a good friend and I consider myself blessed to know her. As the Hatgirl and I are pursuing similar goals, I pray that we will each accomplish great things for God, not to accomplish great things, but simply as a result of our love relationships with Christ Jesus. Incidentally, I learned the Heretic song. Okay, I kinda lied, but I recognise it instantly.
2. Why should the Hatgirl include you in a HERETIC cartoon? (i.e. What
heresies have you committed?)
First, I have thus far rejected the command to populate the Earth;
I am however willing to change my view on this subject. Second, I believe
they should stop playing music during church services' communion time.
The music people can only think about the chord changes and the quality
of implemented instrumentation. Third, I am sick of speculation being presented
as fact and fact being taught as speculation. I blame authors, educators,
journalists, students, pagans, Christians, Americans, foreigners, and even
cheese vendors for these sick and heinous crimes. Fight the system! Fourth,
I think meeting with other Christians shouldn't be thought of as fellowship
unless there is major edification and study and worship and love happening.
Otherwise, it's just a good time. Fellowship can be so beautiful, and I
believe that real fellowship is underrated and underimplemented in the
Church. This is why many new believers fail to grow strong in their faith,
never making the transition from milk to meat. Finally, and might I say
most notably, I believe in the inherent and inarbitrary value of language
and believe that real power is in language itself. It is by this power
that God created the Earth. The one who can best use language has the most
power. Incidentally, I am writing a major paper to these ends and will
send the skeleton which is not quite finished to (well, to Miss Jules,
but you can have a copy also). Apparent power is nothing without the words
to back it up. Moreover, Christ, as the 'LOGOS' is ultimate power. He holds
all things together. This could be related to my Linguistics degree aspirations.
