ST Mission: Harm
The Phantoms are another of the characters that can be placed randomly by the storyteller to help further the plot. The Phantoms could be described as vampire ghosts, they can pass through walls are none too bright and suck the life from the living. They will follow any character and near by NPC's in an attempt to touch them. Their touch is colder than ice and is terribly painful. For each round a character is in contact with a phantom they lose one health level until death. The phantoms can be physically harmed by any conventional (or unconventioal) means, and can be driven off (CD 2). The health levels taken by a character are healed at one per hour, and until healed the character will be very exhausted and slightly delusional. Advanced healing rates have no effect on this time.
Nothing can be learned from a phantom, as that they can only shreik and have no sentience, at least not any more. They are a great way to guard something, or hurry the characters along.
