The Boiler

ST Mission: Information

Should the characters realize that the Boiler is sentient (CD 3) they can talk to it. The Boiler can speak, although from where and how are impossible to determine. In the Gotshom the Boiler is very important, it powers the future and moves time ahead, well at least in the real worlds. Due to this fact, the Boiler can directly contact the Flux and will most likely report back whatever the characters did. The Boiler is aware of everything that happens in the Ship, so that report might be very detailed.

Unless directly approached or spoken to, the Boiler will remain silent simply watching the characters. Should the characters begin questioning it, it will base how it answers on how it feels they behaved. If they have been rude, it will be rude, if they were destructive, it'll pop spigots and bolts off at them (using excess water pressure), if they were respectful it will be as well. If they impress the Boiler it might hint at where they are, or if it is directly asked. It won't give away too much, that is something for the Flux to do.

Here are some likely answers to likely questions. Players in Italic, Boiler in Plain font.

Who runs this place?

- The King/Queen.
- Someone top side, why are you asking this old hunk of junk?

Where are we?

- Isn't it obvious? You've left your world to become even more apart of it.

How do we get out?

- Out? I'm curious how you got in.

Is this a dream?
- Why? Does it feel like one?
- No such thing kid.
- So your from one of those places, eh?
