We unearthed the strangest set of stones today. They were arranged in a pattern of triangles and it appeared that at least six of them were missing. The way they were carved and decorated were nothing like anything we've found here and do not resemble anything I've ever seen before. What was most odd about them though was the way they hummed. I should explain that better, they made no noise, but standing near them gave me the notion that they were vibrating or humming like electricity, it was something I felt in my bones. There's a power there that I don't understand, something I'm not too sure I would want to understand.
-Regis Armstrong
The Portal was found in 1923 by an independent archeologist by the name of Regis Armstrong in the jungles of India near the modern day coastal city of Chennai. It was discovered during a partial excavation of the truly ancient parts of the city. Regis was friends with Michael Redmond, an Aeon Society member and fellow archeologist. When he found the Portal and several fragments of writings, he showed the finding to his friend who reported it to the Society. Aeon quickly worked out and agreement with Regis and the British Colonial Government and the Portal was bought, boxed up and removed to America. Currently, the portal is located in Hanger #2 and studied extensively by thePortal Crew.
The Portal is far from intact, many of its stones were not found in the first dig, nor in the follow up by Aeon. They are simply missing. Without those stones the scientists involved with the portal have had to guess on the arragnement of the remaining stones, and have had to be exceedingly creative to get the stones to channel any of the power that they use.
