The result of three trips, beachcombing!
I have a crick in my neck and very sore feet from trudging up and down the Spit Beach in Aramoana. It truly lives up to its Maori name, Pathway to the Sea. A place with a tragic recent history, it is where I go when I want to commune with nature and just blow away the cobwebs! And with such magnificent creations strewn across the sands, who can blame me? Some of the shells needed cleaning to reveal the beauty hidden beneath the protective layers of silt and weed, but none have been "enhanced" with colourants or filters. This is how they are!
My thanks to Mark Hindle, for taking the photos as I "arranged" the shells! We make a formidable team! Something tells me this teenager has a future in photography!
