The Birds.
Once upon a time there were a pair of turquoisines! Then came the budgerigars, the finches and the quail! They all lived happily in a stylish aviary!
Where they enjoyed the finest foods and the best facilities they could have!
They flourished, paired up and made attempts at breeding. Only the quails had some measure of success!
But that doesn't deter the others from trying - so watch this space!
For such small birds, the Zebra Finches make a lot of noise! Their �beeping� is a pleasant change to the constant chatter of the others and occasional fights that the budgies have!
Spring 2003 saw the successful hatching of a clutch of five eggs. Slowly but surely all 5 fledged and emerged from the safety of the nest. The smallest of the finches was too young to do so, but determined to be with its siblings. Sadly that one didn't make it to maturity but the other 4 gradually got over their "bad hair days"!
