Tre' grew up with his father and two siblings in Willits California. He got his nickname because Tre' means three, and he is the third Frank Edwin Wright. His dad built a lot of houses around that area including Lawrence Livermore, their neighbor and founder of Lookout! He joined Livermore's band (The Lookouts) at age twelve. After Green Day's first drummer, Al Sobrante/John Kiffmeyer left the band, Tre' became their second and permanent drummer. He and his wife, Claudia, are expecting their first child.
