                      Billie Joe's Life

Billie Joe was the youngest of six kids in his family. His real name is Billie Joe, not William Joseph or anything like that. He was born in Rodeo California. His mother was a waitress, and his father was a truck driver and part time jazz musician who, sadly, died of cancer when Billie Joe was only ten. Billie Joe sang to patients at hospitals to cheer up them up. A couple of his friends got him hooked on punk bands like the Dead Kennedys. Billie Joe got his very first guitar, a blue Stratocaster he named "Blue," which he still plays to the day. He wrote his first song at the age of 14 ("Why Do You Want Him?"), although he first recorded a song when he was five titled "Looking For Love." He is the co-founder and partial owner of the independant label Adeline Record
             How He Met His Wife

On the very first Green Day tour (when Al Sobrante/ John Kiffmeyer was in the band), was when he first met her.
(From Adrienne herslef) "I was one of only ten people at a Green Day gig, and me and Billie ended up hitting it off." (He wrote the song 2000 Light Years Away for her) She moved out to California in the heat of "Dookie." A month later, they were married. She stayed in a small town in Minnesota until Bille Joe convinced her to move to Cali. Mostly, their two sons are her full time job.
