| On May 21st the BASSANGLERS traveled across the Virginia border above Covington,VA to Moomaw lake. This lake is a deep clear cold water lake where the trout are more plentiful than most anything else but it holds a nice population of smallies and largemouth if you can get close enough to catch them. The event kicked off with quite abit of fog which gave way by mid-morning to a bright sunny hot sky. At days end the top three in points had manage to fall flat our their faces and zeroed. Ronnie Huffman came in with a limit to win the event and throw himself right into the points melay. Young Austin Moore also had fish , wieghing in two smallies and is now threatening to climb into the top half of the club in points. The only other anglers to have fish were John Humphries and Curtis Pauley both wieghing in one bass apiece |
