This is a plant that grows in abundance in southeast Ohio. It is so named because it supposedly can help one heal from anything. I think it definitely helps, since Ive taken it before when Ive had a sore throat and I got better. Maybe that was just mind over matter. Anyways, its a pretty little plant roughly mint-sizedwith purple flowers, although I have seen white variants. I harvest it for tea. Steeping it results in a tea that reminds me of a cross between red clover and green tea. The best time to it is late sunmer, since it is full bloom then and it hasnt gotten as dead and dry and spotted as it does in autumn. The best places to look for this are along country roads in stream valleys, and of course away from fields where theyve been using pesticides and such.
