History:
A simple childhood exists in Saradin Carm's past, along with the training of the craft of his master. In his teens, Saradin was a talented magician, whose gifts excelled far beyond that of a normal student of his master. His gifts one day threw  themselves into mischief, as one of the local boys of the village wanted (what was thought to be) a perfectly safe competition of spellcraft. With pride swelling in his young body, Saradin quickly accepted the challenge. The spells were simple. Most were just whisps of flame and illusions. Though, as Saradin neared his turn, an idea formed his inexperienced, foolish mind. Invoking upon the most powerful god in the craft, though he knew only to use the power when no other choice was abailable, Saradin unleashed the spell. After a blaze of black flames, the life of several pupils of his master fell to their knees in pain. None affected survived, unfortunately. After the traumatic experience of death before his young eyes, and having the master at such power, the only thing Saradin could bear to do was to hide himself away, shrouding himself in darkness, away from them all to study to strengthen his magical prowess. He succeeded with his master's help, which included painstaking study of the craft of Demundza to both strengthen and find control his power further.

With the formidable power under slight control in his thirties, Saradin set out as a mere wandering wizard. He was seen as Saradin of the Dark to the Elves (After having translated their language, of course), and also under the alias of Galthrand the Blue in the Central Division (One of four armies of the Palitinian Kingdom). The battles he fought let him gain experience in the element of Bane (Darkness), as well as Harnella (Energy/Wind), Greuz (Water), Zoshenal (Fire), and Berthe (Earth). He fought in the Central Division for about ten years. Then, after fighting for the Central Division, he followed the cause of the Palatinean Revolution. The revolution was caused by the noble's arrogance towards the lower classes. The war only lasted five years, letting Saradin to finally wander the lands again at the age of 67.

His travelling brought him to many places, and met many people. BUt not all beings within this world would give him simple gestures of kindness when first passing by. Thus the reason his sight was lost at the age of 72, which was shortly after another five years of wandering. In his misfortune, he happened to come across a tavern with a terrivle aura. Despite the look of the tavern and the people within, he entered in search of wine and rest for the upcoming journey. Of course he recieved his room, but while enjoying the wine he was hit in the head with a blunt weapon, leaving him unconscious. He woke in his bed, completely penniless and his craft books stolen.
The books were easy enough to replace, and eventually he would come by more currency to spend. Though when he aawoke to that fateful morning, he discovered himself to be completely blind. The kindness of a few oassing travelers brought him to a village in the woods, near enough to the Elves who had recognized him as Saradin of the Dark. The Elves took him in and replenished his money, as well as replaced most of the items stolen. Also, the Elves led him to the village of Blue Flame, where he has resided to this day. The only other horrendous event was the burnning of the hut that he lived in twenty years after the Elves had aided him in his time of need. Once again the Elves hadn't failed him, as they had built a new dwelling for him.

Old age has become a great battle for the old warlock, though. His mind has become feeble, and often his stories exaggerated. Oftoen one would  have to ask a rival of his, or even one of the friendly Elves to give the true story of his past, for he often stretches the truth.
