Much love to all the Norman Osborn fans and to Norman, himself.
Chapter #1:
* * * *
Norman Osborn liked to think of himself as a success. Just a few years out of college and he had sold materials like scrap metal used to be made for a variety of items. It never really cared for metal, but he had an eye for weapons and hoped with time his bussiness would grow larger. Maybe someone he would be providing for the Government. Until then, he sold from city to city, filling in orders which lead him constantly on the road.
Norman Osborn's sucess had to due with his williness to travel. To be honest it wasn't his choice, after all those years of study he was more interested in a lab, not on the road; working as someone from retail. But his coworkers pushed him to hit the road to deal with their clients. And so he did.
Norman Osborn would pass through the doors of interested buyers within the area, carrying a suitcase or paperwork. He'd do his talk and get their orders. With his busy schedule, he had no time to waste and quickly head on the road to the next possible buyer.
He had contiuned to do this for a least 8 years.
People use to always say to him, "Travling all over America, would take you to alot of interesting places." This bother Norman. He was doing his job. It wasn't a vacation to him. All he wanted to do was work in a lab. Now he started to regret it, ideas had come and gone and here he missed his chance to work on them, in a lab. Instead, he was wasting away on the road.
People would also say as he passed through a random town, "This highway is the scenic route. I recomended it. You'll get more of a view." Norman could just stare at them, sure he was able to look at the window if there wasn't anyone on the road. But even them, he wouldn't be able to apperciate it. His mind was still stuck on customer orders, complaints and back orders.
Most offen he would have to stay in a hotel. To save money he would stay at a cheaper inn. Your normally found those in tourist spots and even then he hated it. The situation became almost unbareable. He would see tourist in a new suit, in a great mood and with a nice lady on their arm. While Norman was in a shabby suit and constanly alone.
Sometimes at night, he would just lie there on the hotel bed. Just thinking about that random tourist would keep him up all night, tossing and turning and green with envy.
This was Norman's life for 8 years. Now he was worth at least over 1 Billion. Norman had finally reached a position where he was able to indulge in any activity he could wish. Finally now was the chance to work in his lab. To show the US Government his ideas. These ideas that were in his head back when he was in college. Finally the education would pay off.
There was more to Norman's past than these memories. Deep down there was a dark and threating secret that he had longed to forget. Norman's bussiness was built on his skill and charm, but his capital came from else where.
The truth was that Norman had robbed a bank to get the money and in the process of this, someone was killed. The robbery had occured at a old town. He had broken into an old bank and made off with over 2 Million dollors.
But he didn't use all of the 2 Million for his capital. He used half of it because 1 Million went to his partner who had insisted they split it 50-50.
If you think about it. Two people are needed to rob a bank. There really isn't much more to it. That's just a way a robbery works. It's the type of job where a partner is needed.
Norman's partner was Jane Asher, who was about in her late 20's. About a few years younger than Norman. She had a pale complexion and a sad face. Even now, Norman would shudder at the way she leaned foward and with her lips kissed him that night at the hotel.

End Part #1.
Don't get the wrong idea. This isn't a Mary Sue. Norman will grow to hate Jane Asher... If he doesn't already. Part #2. harsh kissing and runs in the dark.
The quote "That's just a way a robbery works. It's the type of job where a partner is needed." was taken and changed a bit from the book Coin Locker by R. Murakami. Just thought I'd let you know.
