The GREELEY BLAZE is a new addition to the Colorado Football Conference semi-professional football league. The Colorado Football Conference has been in operation since 1987. The GREELEY BLAZE will compete in the five-team Foothills division. Practices will start in February and the season begins in May 2003. The BLAZE is aiming to provide a respected football team for the town of Greeley and surrounding areas. We are here to give people a chance to participate in the game that they love. Weve had plenty of people thank us already for bringing football back to Greeley, and we are proud to do that for the community. We want to build a relationship with the community to build this ideal football team.

The BLAZE is owned by Greg Foggy Franks and Beth Alles. Franks is a Greeley native and played football for Greeley Central High School. He then took his football career to Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. Franks also had experience in arena football for the Colorado Wildcats, PIFL. Franks has played in the Colorado Football Conference for three years for the former Tri-City Warriors and the Fort Collins Starz. He has a passion for football and he knows that there are many people like him in the Greeley area. He wants to give everyone a chance to get involved in something that they have a passion for. Through the GREELEY BLAZE, Franks will provide the tools for this passion of an all-American sport in an all-American city.
