| There are many myths among Artemis, some are listed here . . . . . Actaeon Once when her and her virgins were bathing naked, Actaeon came upon them and was blown away by their beauty. When Artemis saw that Actaeon had sen them all naked, she turned him into a stag and then sent his own hunting dogs after him. Callisto Another myth that involves Artemis is that Callisto, a nymph that followed Artemis was seduced by Zeus, who at the time had taken the form of Artemis. From this union Callisto gave birth to Arcas. Even though Callisto did not mean to betray her oath of virginity, Artemis turned her into a bear anyway, and prompty shot her. |
