Name: Nyx Nightlord
Species: Fae (Faerie)  [elemental - Fire.]
Age: 814
Build: Slender. Very slender.  Very fae-ish.  Quite delicate, but not at all akward looking. He has rather long legs, and really nice, delicate hands (I just can't draw them. >_>)
Singing Voice: Todd Hunter, of the Todd Hunter Band.  http://www.toddhunter.net
Personality and Such: Nyx has quite a bit of a superiority complex.  He sees mortals and, hell, even other immortals that are more immortal than him (Yeah, I KNOW that that makes no sense, but.. deal with it.) as his personal playthings.  He absolutely loves messing with people's plans.  If he can throw a wrench into someone's scheme, believe me, he will. And the more people's plans he can screw up, the better. ^^;  Generally speaking, when Nyx messes with people, he avoids getting anyone killed; Not out out any sort of compassion for people, more because if they're dead, they can't be fun anymore. Though Nyx is certainly not above killing people, or setting up events to lead to someone's death if it would amuse him at the time. In general, the games he plays with people are on the borderline between light-hearted and cruel.
There's really only one person who Nyx doesn't see as a plaything, and that's
Espi, who is a pretty frequent companion of his. The relationship that he has with her is something akin to a brother-sister relationship, and I would definately call them friends.  Nyx is very protective of Espi, and often gets her out of any pickle she's gotten herself into. (Espi is also very protective of Nyx, but he VERY rarely gets into a situation he can't get out of.)
Nyx
rarely touches people, though that might strike anyone who talks with him as odd to realize.  He talks rather 'intimately' with people, often times caressing the air just around their face, so it seems like they're being touched.  And though this sort of false intimacy adds to the games Nyx plays with people, he doesn't really care much for physical contact at all. (The idea of sex pretty much disgusts him.)
Nyx is a Fire fae, meaning that he can create and control fire to suit his purposes.  He can travel through the world as we know it, or through the ether, which allows him to get from place to place faster (but expends more energy.) When he appears from or embarks into the ether, he is usually accompanied by a burts of flame. He does not need this burst of flame, but does it for dramatic effect.
After fire, Nyx's strongest element is air, and because of this, he's able to "Fly" (It's more like acrobatic hovering, actually.) He can also levitate objects and so forth, but he rarely does that.  He cannot control things as complex as wind currents.
After air, is earth. He's pretty much indifferent to this element, actually, but he's more in tune with rocks and soil than with trees and such.
Last is water.  Nyx has next to NO control over water.  In fact, water dampens his natural ability (fire) and so, he's actually kind of scared of it. He's not scared of it in small amounts, since he does need to drink it.  But large bodies of water, such as lakes, oceans and some rivers terrify him, if he's anywhere but on firm ground.  (When he gets water to drink, he usually gets it from a small stream.) And when I say "terrify" I don't mean he'd run away screaming, but he definately keeps his distance from shorelines, if he can avoid it.   (Now, if you put him on a boat in the middle of the ocean, THEN he'd freak out. >_>)  Rainstorms unsettle him; the harder it's raining the more unsettling he finds it.
The "Nightlord" after Nyx's name is more a title than a last name, and he ONLY uses it at the faerie courts (Which he doesn't frequent.)
Nyx grins and smirks and mocks and laughs (at others) quite a bit.

Nyx's hair is actually not black, it's Really, REALLY dark red (It just looks black, with a red sheen.) His pupils are not circular, but raher are elongated, cat-like slits. (He has good nightvision.)  Also, except for the gold parts of his costume (Which are metal) it's all black, I've just shown parts of it in dark grey to indicate the difference between the thinner under-leotard, and the thicker other parts. By the way, the leotard goes to the wrists and ankles and has a v-neck.
