| 2006 Spring Fire Season |
| Well, it wasnt an overly active spring fire season this year, but we did have a couple of busy days and a few contensious fires |
| These photos are from a 75 acre fire early in the season. ...started by kids playing with matches.. It took off good and fast in the fine fuels of idle crop land and threatened ther barn and residence until the Fire Department and us arrived in the neck of time. After that it got into a large swamp and it was just a pain in the butt to find a place on solid ground to attack it. |
| We called in a helicopter from MN to help out and here is a photo of the helicopter making a drop on the fire. ...when all ya have is loon poop ponds to dip out of...that is what you get. ..obviously every one stayed WELL out of the drop zone. EWWWW!! |
