Mysterious Zhongren went missing before game

Messina Greats winger, Zhongren who was originally in the manager game plan for Sunday title decider game against BNP, mysteriously went missing just before the game.

The speedy winger who has recovered from his serious right knee injury was nowhere to be seen and was not featured in the line up list. Few of the concerned team mates were asking about him just before the game.

ˇ§On Friday night, after training at 134 court, he told me that he might not be able to play because he will be celebrating his friendˇ¦s birthday on Sat night. And on Sunday morning around 0730hrs, I got his sms saying that he will not be playing.ˇ¨ claimed team-mate Mr.5.

Mr.5 also added ˇ§Even his brother Yuanjie has no idea of his whereabouts and I relayed the message to our manager during breakfast.ˇ¨

Not long after the game, an insider released one photo where Zhongren was photographed together with local TV actress Fiona Xie and he was wearing the Greats team jersey in the photo.

Fearing that it might be a prank, photo-editing master Randy (who is still nursing his arm injury) had already proven that the photo is real.

Upon knowing this news, club manager William said ˇ§Iˇ¦m disappointed that players are caught going to parties and star chasing on the eve of a big game.ˇ¨

ˇ§Maybe its time to bring in new faces.ˇ¨

Mr.5 who later knows about this news commented ˇ§He went for girls instead of ball and the title. No comment on the defeat.ˇ¨

Club manager William has every reason to be disappointed as Zhongren previously was also spotted partying together with team mate Zhanrong (the ZR and zr partnership) by Greats renowned chiongster Kenneth at Zouk on 13th Oct.

Zhongren currently is still serving his national service, has only contributed with a assist after making 5 appearances and having 2 starts for the Greats this season.

Last Sunday, Greats lost to 2-4 to BNP despite having drunkard Zhanrong scoring twice as stand-in striker for the injured Guoan which put them in a 2-1 lead at half time. The recent defeat basically ended Greatsˇ¦ fine run of 6 wins in a row but they are still sitting on the top with 21 points from 9 games, 3 points ahead of 2nd placed BNP who maintained their 100% winning record and have 3 games in hand
