CAPTAIN BACKING ZHANRONG

Captain Fu gave his support to center-back Zhanrong after last Sunday Greats 2-1 victory over British Club F.C.

With half the season gone, Zhanrong is finding difficulties in fighting his way back into the starting eleven and was named on the sub bench yet again in the last game. Some of the players could easily sense his disappointment already.

Upon knowing this news, Yongren immediately showed his support for Zhanrong.“He is a BIG player for us. He is tough and very good in the air which is definitely useful against big strikers.” said Yongren. “As long as his mind is over body and stay focus (did the captain mean less BGR?), i believe he will bounce back to top form.” Yongren added.

Also, a tip off from an insider (who refused to be named fearing his slippers’ fate) said “Zhanrong’s morale is really low, so low that he was considering playing as a goalkeeper for Greats, like what Kenneth did (seeking alternative and shifted to play as left-back).”

Going to ORD in about one month time and being heavily involved in recent relationship scandals could be factors that are distracting Zhanrong. However, the main reason that Zhanrong lost his place is due to Xingwen’s excellent display in the past few games and the stability in the defense which makes club manager William sticking to his back four.

With Xingwen picking up a shoulder injury in the last game which will rule him out for about one month, this might be a good chance for Zhanrong to prove himself and re-establish himself back to the starting eleven.

Sadly, due to work commitment, Zhanrong will not feature in this Sunday game against Team Spirit. Currently, Greats are in a good run with 4 wins in a row and topping the table with 18points.
