Greatz 1-1 Bakar CF

The second Leg against Bakar came in juz the 5th week of the season at a faraway Land known as Corporation Road.

The historicaL Jurong stadium is one of the first when the S-League made itz inception a decade ago, but has since become a driving centre, a punter's haven and a retiree's chiLLout pLace for amateur footbaLL.

On this day, though, a professionaL defensive system of pLay from both sides saw a tight affair in the opening minutes but Greats stiLL managed to break the deadLock on 19 minutes. Again, it was a repeated routine of Guizhong and Kaichun where a cross from the right found Kaichun at the far post as he headed the baLL into the net.

And so .. Greats took the precious Lead.

2nd haLf was equaLLy tight. As Greats tried to extend their Lead, Bakar managed to test our custodian at goaL, Kevin, on one or two ocassions.

However, Greats were made to pay for not being abLe to seaL the win with more goaLs when Bakar earned a freekick towards the end of the game. Taken with perfection destined for the top corner of the net, this juz sums up the match where both sides have pLayed a LittLe too conservativeLy.

In the end, as the manager says, the draw is a fair resuLt.

Greats wish Bakar aLL the best for their remaining matches, aLthough it is best they Lose some points on the way because we see them as one of the main rivaLs for promotion.
