Shocking news: Greats' Captain Failed Fitness Test!!!
With half the season gone, Captain Fu and teammate Eddy-bayor went to Khatib Camp on the 4th Oct morning to take their fitness test. Based on previous year result, both of them were expecting to get silver and the $200 monetary reward.
According to Eddy-bayor, the first two stations (shuttle run and sit-ups) were easy. However, thing wasn't going so well for Yongren when he did his standing board jump. Yongren jumped shorter than last year 250cm as he could only manage to jump 230cm this time round. Eddy was slightly faster in the queue, had cleared all the static stations and was waiting at a corner for Yongren to clear his chin-up.
"I was waiting for Yongren and he came up to me shaking his head. Hence I asked his what happened." as Eddy explained that he was really puzzled to see Yongren's expression.
"#@%&, I only managed to do 5 chin-ups." was Yongren's reply.
Usually, for those who want to retake their static stations are allowed to do so before they progress for their 2.4km run. But, it was just not Yongren!|s day as he was denied to do so by the PTI. Heartbroken, Yongren still went on for the 2.4km run with Eddy despite knowing the fact that he has failed his fitness test.
As for Eddy, things did not go too well for him either. This time round, Eddy missed the silver timing by 3 seconds. Eddy was cursing away during the interview,!Ħħ%$#@&, last year miscalculated the time, thinking that 1 min got 100 seconds. Then @#$%, I @#$%&-ing missed my silver by 10 seconds!! @#$&!!......@#$%& la this time round also don!|t know what happen la!K!ĦL as Eddy ended the interview.
We also managed to get hold of a photo of the result slip from a reliable source, showing that Yongren indeed had failed his fitness test (refer to photo below).

The news spread fast and eventually got into some of the teammates' ears.
A captain not only must be popular among the team, he must also be good on the field. But as a captain, he should also be FIT! "..Now you know why not all people can go into OCS la" claimed Mr. I don't want to be named.
Also, rumours were flying that Yongren could be giving up his captaincy after failing his fitness test and the man was nowhere to be found for interview.
"It's rather shocking to hear Ren failing his IPPT given his ability on the field. I think the boss wouldn't be too happy about it" said Mr.5
However, a club representative was fast in updating us that Greats' captain showed great determination by passing the re-test on the 9th Oct and has retained his captaincy as well for the upcoming game against Andernese.
