Books
There is nothing quite as satisfying as a good, well written book. Being an avid reader, I have been reading since I was very young. I have read many genres, and have come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as a perfect book, however, that does not mean there isn't close to perfection. Some of the books I list below fall into that "close to perfection" category. But don't take my word for it, pick up a copy and judge for yourself. Keep in mind these reviews are my own opinions, and in all cases I ask that you judge for yourself.
Any book(s) rated higher than 7-8 on my scale, have in some way touched my life, and enriched it. I am a better person because of reading it.
Some will be stand alones, while others will be part of a series, denoted by *.
What can I say about this book? Well how about, it's the best book I have ever read. Period. George R.R. Martin has crafted a world, unlike any that has ever been seen before. It's no wonder that this book has won countless awards and was also voted Fantasy Novel Of The Year. It's high fantasy at its best. I have never been moved like GRRM was able to move me with this book. It's a stunner. Do yourself a favour right now, and run (don't walk) to your nearest bookseller and grab yourself a copy. You won't be sorry you did.

How I Rate:
9.9 As close to perfect as you can get.

7-8 Not to be missed.

5-6 A worthy attempt. Not bad.

3-4 It's your money, but...

1-2 Avoid at all costs. If you bought this, return it to where you bought it, and hope they will accept it back. If it was a present, save it and give it to someone you don't like. Hey, we all make mistakes.
The saga continues in this amazing series by George R.R. Martin. This book takes the story to new and exciting levels. A Clash of Kings actually succeeds in doing what was thought by many to be the impossible...GRRM has somehow made this story even better than what was written in A Game Of Thrones! I highly recommend this series. Planned for a total of six books, it is one of the most anticipated series ever written. Millions of fans can't be wrong!!

*Book Two of A Song Of Ice And Fire

My Rating: 9.9
A Storm Of Swords picks up right where the action in A Clash Of Kings leaves off, leaving us breathless and wondering if it is possible for this book to be as good as the previous two. The answer is no! It far surpasses them, on every level!  Totally spellbinding!
George R.R. Martin has a genius of the likes rarely seen. Once again he has written pure magic. No words that I possess can ever do this story and series justice.
It simply has to be read! A whole new group of questions are answered, but for every one answered a hundred remain unanswered, making us thirst for the forthcoming book four in the series due to be published in the fall of 2002. It's going to be one hell of a long wait, But worth it!
