| Another of the great recruits after the woeful years of the 1983 Eels, Badgery has run amuck since joining the team. One of the most talented players ever to pull on a jumper, team management has had a difficult time in containing Badgery, who is known for his drinking and drug-taking binges, which regularly sees him missing trainings and games, or turning up to the field drunk or high. Nevertheless, the team has persisted with Badgery, for the fact that he is an unbelievable player, and he provides a social side to what would otherwise be a very boring group of players. |
