"The Great Punkin" - Franklin 220 Conversion
Above:  New aft baggage bulkhead with swing-up door for easy battery access.
Below:  Aft baggage bulkhead door "swung up".  Door will secure to the hat rack using a strap and snap apparatus.  Hmmm...  poetry in motion .
Below:  Fitting the bottom cowling
To the right:  three angles of the custom lower cowl access hatches.  10-32 sheet metal screws will secure each hatch.  Note - there is enough room to get at the oil sump easily.  Oil changes will be possible without removing the cowl.  A definite bonus.
Below and right: The classic lines of the '52 cowling and nose bowl are maintained.  The only difference is that spinner and propeller are a little bigger than the original.
Right:
Franklinstein...
"Its Alive!" ...and yup - thats a 1952 Cessna 195 in the backdrop.  Punkin's big sister!

Bottom right:  Punkin RTBs from the successful glitch-free test flight.

Bottom left:  One last inspection by Gregg before she's allowed to leave the nest!

New interior panels.  Someday when we paint her, those door jambs will match.
Success!  Test flight was conducted by Matt under the watchful eye of tailwheel guru, Hal Goddard.
The adventure just begins...
