Great Lake A's is a new chapter of the Model A Ford Club of America, chartered in December of 2003. In part, our motto states we are a social organization for admirers of the Model A Ford automobile and the historical era of the Model A to aid enthusiasts in their efforts to restore and preserve the Model A, and to help families become better aquainted through sponsored activities including the use of the Model A Ford.
Does this mean that if Great Lake A's is for the restoration and preservation of the Model A as well as having fun with our Model A's, you need a Model A to become a member? The answer is no. You do not need to own a Model A to be a member of this chapter.
As you browse through the website, you will find both an application for Great Lake A's, a local chapter, and the national club, MAFCA. You will also find a technical section to offer information to help repair, maintain and understand the Model A. You will see another section of upcoming events.
Great Lake A's hosts an event each month. There are tours, picnics, parades or just a Sunday afternoon get-together. Looking through the photo section on the website, you can see how much fun this chapter has been having throughout our first driving season.
