Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1983)

Return To A Galaxy... Far, Far Away

Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back were both smash hits, and The 3rd and final film in the origonal Star Wars Trilogy would live up to it's predecessors.

The Film Exploded in the box office, and again, Fans laid eyes on a masterpeice. The primary cast was mostly the same, but again there was a new Director, Richard Marquand, taking the reigns of George Lucas' Epic Film.

The Film was re-released in 1997 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the origonal Star wars.

This Time, Luke and his friends have more difficulties then ever befor. First on the agenda, Luke, Leia, Lando, Chewie and the droids head to tatooine to free Han from his Frozen Carbonite Block in Jabba's Palace. Luke must also remember to head back to dagobah to finish his training, where he learns of a family secret, meanwhile, the rebels prepare for their Biggest full-assult on the empire. Everyone In the rebelion is sent to help destroy the 2nd death star, near Endor, But the Emperor himself is on the death star and is well prepared for them.

In my opinion, The Throne Room scene, where "The Son of Sons" does what the legend said he would do, is the greatest scene ever. It just seems like the entire saga is building to that point, at the lowest point of hope, with nothing to lose, a Hero emerges.

Some consider this to be the best Star Wars film ever, It, like the others, has lots of action, romance, adventure, a great plot and awesome special effects, A must see for all movie fans, be sure the check this one out.

Star Wars: Return of the Jedi's Chances are High, like SW and ESB, It is one of the favorites and has a great chance to win it all, however, It has major challenges early, as it is potential to face "Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" in the Quarter finals, and may face Empire Strikes Back if it gets to the Semis. Of the 5 films who are most heavely favored to win the tournament, Return of the Jedi faces the hardest route.
