Goldfinger (1964)
If there is one spy film that can be considered the greatest, it is Goldfinger. With a memorable theme song, famous villians and a coolness that bond has built his sucess on, This Movie is solid gold!
Based on Ian Flemming's james bond novel by the same name, Goldfinger was the 3rd James Bones film when it was made, and this film helped 007's sucess to grow rapidly in the 60's.
Sean Connery, considered the best Bond ever, reprises his role, this time facing the evil Goldfinger, played by Gert Fr�be, and his henchman Oddjob (Wrestler Harold Sakata). On his way, bond meets many exotic women including Pussy Galore (Honor Blackman), Tilly Masterson (Tania Mallet) and Jill Masterson (the girl painted gold) played by Shirley Eaton.
Goldfinger's Plan, "Operation Grandslam", is to plant a bomb in Fort Knox and make the U.S. gold supply radioactive for 58 years, thus increasing the value of his gold. One of 007's Greatest adventures, I would Recommend this one to any spy film fan.

Goldfinger's chances in the GFWC is as far as the semi finals, however, it most likely will go no furthur then the quarterfinals. Goldfinger is the clear favorite in the round of 32 agianst Rush Hour 2, as well as the round of 16, agianst the winner of batman and Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. If Goldfinger reaches the quarter finals, it will probubly face Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, one of the favorites of the tournament, or it may face Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Either way, it will be difficult to get past either of them, and The chance of getting to the Semi-Finals is slim.
